The Rosa Dei Venti are responsive to an existing 1916 Italian Villa. As part of the project program, the existing colony home will be restored to the original condition. The surrounding homes explore the traditional Italian “Casales” or country homes of northern Italy. Historical recreation, traditional craftsmanship, and architectural detailing take cues from the existing historical residence. The dwellings will be in compliance with the affordable AIA green guidelines and follow LEEDS accredited housing standards including photovoltaic, high efficiency framing, and sustainable landscape.
